Beyond expectations! That was our feeling after joining Janice on a trip to the cooking school, La Villa Bonita, in Tepotzlan, Mexico. If you like cooking, culture, adventure, or, if you just want to relax, Janice made certain we had those options from which to choose. Janice accommodates everyone’s interests and her travel experiences have proven to be very effective in planning these trips. Our excursions to the center of town to gather food for our cooking days were very educating and we really enjoyed our time immersed in the culture. Our culinary trip to Sicily with Janice was nothing short of magnificent. The itinerary was meticulously planned and struck just the right balance between sightseeing, food tastings, cooking classes and leisure time. Janice’s knowledge and connections with local chefs and restaurants made the trip one of our favorites. My wife and I were able to just relax and enjoy the trip knowing that each day had already been planned. From shopping through local markets, dining at places you would never find on your own and meeting locals, each day was truly amazing. This culinary trip is one of the best ways to experience a region, the people and food that we can’t wait to travel again.

I want to thank you for the opportunity for such an amazing adventure in Sicily. I knew the trip would be life changing to a certain degree, but I must say, it had more of an impact than I had ever imagined. You have inspired me to slow down and enjoy more: be “in the moment."

Janice just wanted to let you know what a wonderful experience we had and what beautiful places you took us too. The outings to see the country side were incredible. The way you planned all of our adventures the consideration you show to all made the adventures even better. The meals we cooked and ate were so much fun. Never needed anything else. Spending a week with the Savory Spoon in Sicily was a delight. Not only did we learn a lot, cook, eat and drink but Janice took us on daily tours of the surrounding areas. She is so knowledgeable about the island and special places to see. I highly recommend Savory Spoon. You won’t be disappointed. It is obvious that Janice loves her job and sharing her skills.

Janice pulled off an amazing trip to Sicily in May 2023. Her advance planning was so well done, the travel arrangements, accommodations and venues were fabulous. About the food, wine and chefs? All a TEN. Thanks for the memories Janice.
