On Sunday, July 12 from 2 – 5 pm, Savory Spoon Cooking School in Ellison Bay will host afternoon tea and refreshments to discuss with the public their culinary tour to China. Janice Thomas, owner of the Savory Spoon, and Brian and Jeanee Linden, owners of Linden Gallery and the Linden Centre in China, will be present to show their new DVD about the Centre and answer any questions.

Savory Spoon and The Linden Centre are jointly offering a culinary and cultural tour highlighting the cuisine of the region’s ethnic minorities enchanting travelers with the diverse flavors and spices of China’s Yunnan province. The tour will take place in the fall from November 3 – 14.

In addition to the discussion you are invited to taste incomparable Yunnan tea, vintage 1999 Pu-er tea given to the Lindens by a master tea grower and fresh and delicious Chinese dumplings. The Sunday afternoon tea event is free and open to all who are interested in travel to China.
