Friends coming for the Labor Day weekend? The Savory Spoon Cooking School has some classes to help prepare for the Labor Day celebrations and to begin the fall season.
On Sept. 5 at 9:30 am, join instructor Amy Rebhan and explore tasty salads that are healthy and delicious in “Salads as Savory Meals.” The menu includes: Fennel, Apple and Chicken Chopped Salad; Grilled Vegetable and Bread Salad; Thai Grilled Beef Salad; Chinese Chicken Salad; and Tuna, Escarole and Chickpea Salad with Warm Herb Garlic Vinaigrette. The cost is $55.
Also on Sept. 5 at 6 pm, “Italy, the Land of Plenty” will feature some favorite Italian foods like cannellini beans, Tuscan kale and olives galore. Also, learn to make ravioli like the experts do. The menu includes: Arugula Salad with Pinenuts, Currants and Parmesan; Garlicky White Beans with Sautéed Tuscan Kale; Blue Cheese Ravioli with Onion Sauce; Grilled Seasonal Fish with Caponata; and Pear and Walnut Tart. The cost is $65.
